A consignment stock model now keeps 240 critical line items available within four hours of the plant.
NEEMA SUPPLY SOLUTIONS has commissioned a consignment stock facility serving a major copper concentrator in Haut-Katanga. The programme covers 240 critical line items identified jointly with the client maintenance team, based on failure history and criticality analysis.
Stock is held locally, owned by NEEMA until consumption, and replenished on minimum/maximum triggers. Since go-live, emergency air freight on covered items has been eliminated and mean time to spare availability has fallen from days to hours.
The model is now being extended to conveyor and slurry pump components, with monthly performance reviews shared with the client procurement and reliability teams.
